Visited The Strangers on the 25 April and the staff where fantastic ,great food and service. Helped us with the history of the pub,One of the previous landladies being a relative,Will be returning later in the year for some more of the great hospitality. Mick Mason

I have to disagree with the review that was written by anon (the second one) This pub is full of happy staff. Finally they have got rid of all the staff that were libities and its now on the up!

I was really suprised to read the report below. I have visited the Strangers home on several occasion with my partner and have a a great time every time.The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and will go out of their way to make sure you have a really good time. The food is fresh, home cooked and local and is really Excellent - the sunday roasts are out of this world! I can only imagine that this review has been written by an ex employee or some one extremely vindictive - shame on you!

Very happy staff...NOT, they are so rude and unwelcoming more and more people have chosen to go elsewhere. The food was ok,much better at lunch times though, but I was put off by the rudeness of certain bar staff.
