Tesco

I cannot agree that it would be good for the town. The only real advantage is job creation. But balance that with the increase in traffic in the town and particularly on the roundabout by the station then you have a recipe for disaster. Whilst Fiveways have to acknowledge their flippancy in maintaining standards, their improvement plan looks impressive and thus the familiar statement, what do we want two supermarkets in such a small town for, becomes more relevant. Tesco's service and supply is excellent, but their march over the country seems very depressing. Their persusive tactics are merely corporate bullying. If it comes, we will be the poorer (environmentally) for it. I agree with your last sentiment Go Tesco! Your small store in town is fine, but as far as a bigger store goes, go, go and dont come back.
